A Resolution?

Not a New Year's Resolution but a resolution for life now.  You will recall the link to a video explaining how you can protect the waters you visit from infestation brought in on your clothing and gear

Just have a look at this blogpost from derwent~keeper.  It will make your hair curl!  http://derwentkeeper.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/coming-to-river-near-you.html

This was the state of one Grafham angler's leg after stepping out of the famous reservoir's now, killer shrimp infested water.

If you are a traveling angler, please do take those simple but vital precautions before visiting each water.  Make it a serious resolution so to do.

Thank you.

  1. Hi!

I fully agree with you! To leave a place and also a water as it was when arriving should be the habit of any serious fly fisher. It might include some inconvenience sometimes but should be a natural thing. Thanks for sharing!

  2. My that is scary. Coming up to the Wye in three weeks. It's been a while since I've been out but I will be ensuring everything is clean before I set out.

  3. Yes, scary image. I have also put a link to Stuart Crofts video of the hot water soak on the 'fishing conservation groups' on my blog 1womanflyfishing. Clearly the long cold winter is not having any effect on them, perhaps if we have a hot summer? Irene Flyfishing
