EDEN!
Today I went looking for fish that hardly ever (probably never) see an angler.
It involved clambering over garden fences and other obstructions to get to this amazing section of river that is missed out on by so many of the other members of the water I fish most days. It was worth the effort.
The river is beautiful along here.
The trout are fantastic.
That little bit of effort to fish where the fish are, be stealthy, and observe rewarded me with a superb day of discovery and Sport.
Are there places where you could fish that are currently overlooked by your fellow anglers?

Good god what a wonderful trout!
ReplyDeleteWell done RR.
She certainly is! Notice the mottling to her colour scheme as she begins show the effects of being gravid with eggs. She swam away from me as if nothing had happened leaving me overjoyed and very content with the lot of a dry fly angler...

Wow! What a corker! Now where can I go?
ReplyDeleteSeriously nice pictures. That Brown is beautiful and healthy. Those fish that no one else fishes for, always seem to just attack the flies and always put up a great fight. Thanks for sharing. Tight Lines.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I admire the effort to an unfished stretch of water! When i was a teenager i used to go for trout on a stream closer to my parents house. It was just a hard place to get too into the woods off an old torn down highway. deep runs and no banks prevented people from wading in from up stream, there were always nice fate holdover trout in that hole. I've actually recently begun thinking of taking more hikes into the mountains in search of small streams with native trout....much more rewarding than pulling stockers out of the local tailwater creek. Great post!
